Sanket Kumar serves as the Managing Director of the Sustainable Bharat Foundation (SBF), providing strategic operational leadership and guiding the organization’s implementation, governance systems, and values. With a postgraduate degree (M.A.) in Rural Development and over a decade of on-ground experience, he brings deep expertise in rural development, sustainable agriculture, community mobilization, and grassroots institution-building.

Sanket has played a pivotal role in promoting organic and healthy food systems in Bihar, working closely with farmers, local entrepreneurs, and community networks to strengthen market access, enhance income opportunities, and expand sustainable agricultural alternatives. His field experience gives him a nuanced understanding of the socio-economic challenges faced by rural households and the structural interventions needed to build resilient communities.

At SBF, Sanket leads organizational operations, stakeholder engagement, field program execution, team culture, and value-driven institutional systems. He ensures that all initiatives—from climate-resilient livelihood models to community-based adaptation projects—are implemented efficiently, ethically, and in alignment with SBF’s long-term mission.

Sanket works alongside the other leadership members of SBF to integrate program visions with operational excellence, enabling SBF to deliver impactful, scalable, and credible solutions for rural development and climate resilience.
