Research Associate
Shubham Kumar is a Research Associate at the Sustainable Bharat Foundation, working under the Centre for Sustainable Agriculture and Livelihoods. He holds an MBA with specialization in agri-business systems, and brings over two years of experience in agricultural value chains, APMC functioning, and rural financial institutions such as Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS). His background provides him with a strong understanding of market linkages, farm economics, and institutional mechanisms that influence agricultural livelihoods.
Shubham has actively worked on linking farmers with government schemes, ensuring improved access to entitlements, subsidies, and support programs. His on- ground knowledge helps in identifying systemic gaps and designing interventions that strengthen farmers’ economic resilience.
At SBF, he supports research on sustainable agriculture models, value chain development, farmer-producer engagement, and livelihood diversification. He contributes to data collection, field analysis, stakeholder mapping, and preparation of evidence-based reports that guide program strategies.
Shubham is committed to enabling farmers to adopt sustainable practices, access better markets, and benefit from policy frameworks—strengthening SBF’s mission of building climate-resilient and economically empowered rural communities.
