Prashant Kumar is a Research Associate at the Sustainable Bharat Foundation, working with the Centre for Climate Resilience and Sustainability. He holds a B.Tech in Computer Science and brings over five years of experience in data science, artificial intelligence and predictive technology. His technical foundation allows him to blend computational methods with geospatial analytics, enabling advanced research on climate and environmental systems.
Prashant has contributed significantly to geospatial research across Bihar, working on datasets related to land use, climate variability, flood exposure, vegetation indices, and district-level environmental patterns. His experience includes processing satellite imagery, developing analytical models, automating workflows, and producing high-quality visualizations for decision-making.
At SBF, Prashant supports climate modelling, GIS-based vulnerability assessments, data-driven research, and digital solution development. He plays a key role in building the organization’s technical capability by designing analytical tools, supporting field-linked geospatial integration, and strengthening evidence-based planning.
